Navigation Dive
Ever used a compass before? Being able to Navigate is essential to becoming an advanced diver. Looking towards the future you may not need a guide with you all the time. You will need to be able to navigate around a reef and get to a from your entry and exit points. We use both a compass and natural navigation to help us find our way underwater. By having a good sense of general directions and listening to dive briefings with these skill you should not get lost (although you might want to ask cazz about her first attempt ! Don't worry shes got it down now ).
Deep Dive
The deep adventure dive is mandatory to become an advance diver. Under the safe supervision of our instructors you will reach depths greater than18m/60ft but no deeper than 30m/100ft. You will be giving a few simple challenges to complete whilst at these depths to monitor for nitrogen narcosis. You will begin to Monitor your air consumption more vigilantely, and watch your no decompression limits so that you remain within safe diving standards. As you will learn at depth air is breathed much faster than regular shallow dives.

Now that the deep and navigation is done you have 3 more dives to do and you can choose! Base your decision on what interests you but also ask your instructor they might have a different idea for what you need. Here are some of the examples of the adventure dives to choose from

Rescue Course
The rescue diver course is probably one of the most intense but rewarding experiences you can do as a recreational diver. Over 3 days we break down and teach you all the necessary skills you need in order to assist someone in the water whether they are panicking or unconscious. Also to identify potential problems before they arise using good judgement and analysing all types of situations. Our course utilises all the diving environemnts we have to offer in playa del carmen starting in the pool, and progressing to open water in a calm cenote before completing in the ocean where you you be tested against the elements and be able to confidently carry out rescue scenarios.

Pool
The rescue starts off in the pool where we work in teams breaking down the skills and going at a slow pace to get you comfortable learning and using the correct techniques.
We start preparing you to use your voice! It can get loud. You can't be shy in this course its very hands on an everyone gets involved.

Open Water Lake
On day 2 we head to an inland body of open water (cenote) and this is where the real fun begins. Everything you learnt on day 1 (you guessed it), now we put into practice. The adrenaline starts flowing and your movements become more fluid in the water as you get more comfortable handling your buddies and equipment. We also add in the search patterns for missing divers and exiting techniques here. You also will begin to manage situations using your voice to control the situations we give you and the crouds. Oops did we forget to mention that you might have some spectators.

Open water Scenarios
Its that final test- we learnt, we practised and now its perfection. On the final afternoon we head out to the ocean. You are in charge on the boat this day. You have to assess, manage, act accordingly, utilise whats around you and above all stay safe yourself. You cant help in a rescue if you put yourself in danger. You are reliant on yourself and with your buddies to act as a team to rescue us instructors. There's not much briefing and time is of the essence. Are you Ready ?

As you know, the advanced open water allows you to develop your abilities as a diver and gives you experience in various diving techniques. So, now it's time to hone in your skills and persue what interests you as a diver.

SSI Level 4 Master Diver is a Recognition for all your hard work and dedication to Scuba Diving. It is the highest level of achievment in recreational scuba and only 2% of divers earn this elite diving level.
